Postpartum is more than “recovery” — it is ceremony, protection, and restoration. In many cultures around the world, mothers are honored with intentional practices that close the body, protect the womb, and guide them through the sacred 40-day window after birth.
In this hybrid workshop, you’ll gain hands-on skills and cultural wisdom around postpartum belly binding methods — including the Malaysian Bengkung, Mexican Faja, Japanese Sarashi, African Lappa, and the Rebozo of Mexico/Caribbean traditions. Each binding technique holds its own history, energy, and purpose, and you’ll learn how to safely practice them for yourself or for the women you support.
